I serve as the Senior Pastor of Huikala Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, and for the last twenty years the Lord has allowed me to pour my life into sharpening men through discipleship and mentorship. My path started in the United States Navy, and God used those years to teach me discipline, commitment, and how to operate under pressure. When He called me into full-time ministry, He redirected that same grit and focus toward something far greater, the spiritual formation of men.
Over the years, I have watched too many men settle for mediocrity, surrender their responsibilities, or blow up their lives and marriages. It doesn’t have to be this way. This is what compelled me to launch The Vanguard.
Why The Vanguard? Because you need a place where men are called back to their God-given roles, where excuses die, and where biblical manhood is not only taught but lived. You need training for spiritual warfare, because the battle is real even if you cannot see it. You need brothers who sharpen you, challenge you, and refuse to let you settle for passivity.
